BarbieAs a young girl, I loved everything Barbie!  I have such great memories playing “Barbies” with my best friends, Jennifer and Nicole, for hours every.single.weekend.  Well, until we decided to cut their hair and our parents banned us from playing together for a while.  But, I digress….Now, my daughter loves playing with her Barbies as much as I did many years ago.  In fact, Santa was nice enough to bring her Barbie’s dream house last year and she is still playing with it today.

This Summer, Barbie is venturing out of her dream house and exploring the great outdoors!  The Camp Barbie line features toys such as a puppy water park, tent (complete with campfire and s’mores) and of course, a super cool “Barbie Sisters Go Camping Camper!”  The camper, who’s wheels really roll, features a pop-up second floor with two hammocks for lounging around, a full kitchen with seating and even a jacuzzi to splash around in!

  29. I LOVED playing with all of my Barbies in my Barbie Dream house and Barbie swimming pool. My girlfriends, sister and I would hang out for hours playing with all of our favorite dolls!

    My favorite memory is playing with Barbie and Ken with my older sister. We always had them fall in love. 🙂

  40. I got the hand-me-down vinyl Barbie house in the early 80’s from my cousin. I remember smiling the ENTIRE drive home (6 Hours) smiling from ear to ear. I thought I had hit it big! I played with it until I think I was 16!

  44. I remember my sister would make Barbie “Dremahouses” out of boxes with several floors and she would use wall paper sample books for the interior walls. I loved it better than any house sold at Toys “R” Us.

  47. My favourite Barbie memory is when my Grandmother came to visit and used to play with me. We used to dress up Barbie’s together and have tea parties with the Barbie Dolls as our guests. I still remember what fun that used to be.

  51. My mom use to take me down to a local dime store, which sold a little of everything, and they used to have homemade Barbie outfits and she would let me pick one out once a week.

  112. My favorite memories are actually of when my daughter had a Barbie. We could not afford the house or big items, so the two of us built a 2 story house of cardboard boxes. We wallpapered the walls, cut rugs from carpet samples, made furniture of items around our house or things we found. It was fun and her house was better than the one in the store!

  134. my favorite memory of barbie was fixing hair and changing clothes (needless to say we had a lot of naked Barbies laying around), me and my sister had a Barbie house and would play with our dolls in that house, and ride around in the barbie car, going out on dates with Ken.

  171. Somehow, my sister and I could never find where her tiny clothes has run off to…we also didn’t have any Ken dolls or furniture…so when we played Barbie house, all the characters were mostly naked Barbie and they all slept together on a washcloth (all the rooms had washcloth “furniture”).

  325. One of my favorite Barbie memories was getting the Peaches and Cream Barbie for my birthday! It was my favorite, and my Mom still has it saved! I saw it in the store few weeks ago, and it brought back so many memories!

  474. So many great Barbie memories and I’m 54 years old-My best was getting my first Barbie. My mom finally let me get Barbie, before I could only get Tammy dolls ( they were flat on top), she thought Barbie was too developed for a 6 year old.

  491. I had a great barbie dollhouse growing up. I kept it in my room and I played with that thing way longer than girls play with barbies today.

  508. Playing with my sister and cousin. We would have them all outside have a camp out in the woods! ( my grandparents lived in the middle of the country so i can relate to this sooo neat barbie win!
