Now do you have that Gloria Estefan song stuck in your head?!? LOL!
I just wanted to say thank you for the thoughtful comments and emails during this time of sorrow. The funeral was today and my husband decided to write and deliver the eulogy. He did a WONDERFUL job. Grandpa would have been proud.
It was an extremely exhausting day, but its funny how during these trying times you are lifted by the kindness and love of your friends and family. A good friend of mine (Aubrie’s Godfather) came to the burial today. While the Navy sailor played “Taps,” my husband finally broke down. Our friend quietly stepped behind us and placed his hands on both of our shoulders. It was the simplest gesture, but it was so comforting. I don’t even have words to describe the feeling, but it is wonderful to know that we have such great friends. I am reminded that even in our darkest hour, there ARE things right with the world.
I am sorry for my absence. I have so much to catch up on! I have gotten a few awards and even won a prize! Please know that I am not ignoring you guys! I will be back tomorrow!
Bridgette I’m so happy to hear that you have so many special supporters.
My condolences. I’m glad to hear you have the strength and comfort of friends to get you through this difficult time.
Oh man, you are making me teary today. What a sweet friend you have.
