Go to the Movies on General Mills! Giveaway!

I love to go to the movies!  But having kids has certainly changed the frequency with which we choose to go to the theater.  My husband and I treated our daughter to a “Lily Day” which consists of our undivided attention to do anything she chooses together as a family.  Of course, she wanted to see the Hannah Montana movie.  Even though my husband was THE ONLY man in line for the Hannah Movie, he happily sat in the theater because it was Lily’s special day.  However, he was NOT so happy with the cost!

Movie ticket prices had soared reaching $9.00 a ticket, popcorn prices were insane and drinks the size of my head.  Lily had a great time, but we left the theater feeling robbed!  Because of the expense of going to the movies, we haven’t gone often.  But with the holiday season fast approaching, I know there will be some great children’s movies coming out!

  5. My favorite movie is the lord of the ring movies. I guess I’d say that the return of the king is my fav.

  6. Wow, favorite movie ever? Hmmmm, that’s tough…. The movie I’ve seen the most times is White Christmas. The movie that I have the most sentimental feelings about is It’s A Wonderful Life. The movie that I’ve laughed at the most is Parent Trap (new and old). The movie I always cry at is An Affair to Remember. My most recent fave is Whip It! Hard to choose just one 😉

  7. Hard to pick just one. My favorite animated movie is Finding Nemo. I love to watch the classic, Gone With The Wind. Thanks!

  8. I just went to the movies a few weeks ago and saw “The Informant”. I hadn’t expected to enjoy it, but amazingly, it was VERY GOOD! Worth spending the money for. Go see it.

  9. My favorite movie so far is Multiplicity ..yes it is an old one so new one would have to be Ice Age III

  10. I think the last movie i saw, “The informants” was terrific. Maybe not exactly my favorite, but a movie worthwhile to see.

  11. I have so many favorites that it’s hard to chose, but I’d have to go with the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

  13. My favorite Movie? I guess it probably is The Wizard of Oz. I was ten years old when it came out and just fell in love with it. The switch from black and white to color was unbelievable in my “young girl” eyes.

  15. I subscribe via email

(I didnt realize the person who posted before had the same favorite movie until after I posted my favorite…told you it was an oldie but goodie!)

  16. I guess one of my oldest and enjoyable movies was The Wizard of Oz. I was only 10 years old when that movie came out, and I was enthralled with the changeover from black and white, and then, right in the middle of the movie, they went to color. What a joy, and such excitement to see that. Of course, these days, that’s old hat, but back then, 1939, it was big time.

  17. My favorite movie…

romance = BBC Pride and Prejudice

comedy…too many to decide! “Hot Fuzz” would rank high, though.

  18. I subscribed with google reader… but even though it said it added you and I can see your feed on the right… I don’t see you in the list I subscribe to.

  19. OOH! Movie tickets! At the prices today, I can’t go very often, so winning some tickets would be such a treat. When I was 10 MANY MANY years ago, I still remember going to see The Wizard of Oz. It’s still my favorite.

  20. My Favorite movie??? It HAS to be The Wizard of Oz. That’s a movie that pleases everyone, the young AND the old. It has no sex or vulgar language in it, as today’s movies do. Back when that movie was out, you weren’t afraid to take children to the movies, because there was none of that stuff they put in movies today. I think most older adults feel the same way. Unfortunately, the younger people have gotten blase’ about sex and vulgar language, and it doesn’t even bother them. They think EVERYONE speaks and acts that way. Such a shame.

  21. I have two favorites. The Wizard of Oz and Gone With The Wind. I wish movie producers would remember how popular those two movies were and realize that part of that popularity was that there were no vulgar words and no explicit sex scenes it either one. They were a pure joy.

  22. If you ask for our favorite movie, I’m assuming that repeating the same answer is Ok with you. My favorite is The Wizard of Oz. Because ANYONE can watch it and not be offended.

  23. This looks crazy with all these entries…I can’t believe some people are tweeting every hour..i only tweet daily…well I will give it a shot..who knows…I would love to win 🙂
