I know I talk about Hurricane Katrina a lot on this blog (how can I avoid the topic when it was a such a major event in my life?), but there actually was a silver lining on this cloud….a new kitchen!! My home was flooded and my kitchen cabinets were ruined, but I have to say that there was no love lost there! As we gutted our home, my husband and I dreamed of what the perfect kitchen would look like. As we strolled through the home improvement store (I felt like we lived there), we found a kitchen display that caught our eye. We decided on a cottage style design with green solid maple cabinets….oh my….I was in love!
