Time Saving Tips from Bank of America {$50 Giveaway}

I absolutely love the holiday season, but no matter how much I seem to plan in advance, I always seem to be rushing around and running out of time.  Any time saving tips can be a life saver!  Recently, my business partner Cecelia and I formed an official LLC and opened a bank account.  We chose to begin our business with Bank of America for many reasons, but the most important factor was convenience.  Because we live in two different states, we needed a bank that would make it easy for us to do our business.

One of the ways that Bank of America saves us time is by providing online banking.  We can easily transfer money, check our balance and set up alerts from the convenience of our computer which is great since we live so far away.  We also love the Bank on the Go feature which allows us to bank straight from an iPhone or iPad.  Just download the app and easily locate ATMs nearby, check balances and pay bills.  You can even get a text message stating your balance instantly!

Recently, Bank of Amercia set up a Twitter Handle (@BofA_Tips) which sends out great time saving tips throughout the day.  Here are a few I loved from this week:

What are some ways you save time over the holidays?  Have you thought of hosting a wrapping party at your house? Have each guest come with a roll of wrapping paper, chat, eat and WRAP!  Or coordinate a playdate exchange!  Have a friend watch your kids and get some shopping done!  On another day, return the favor!  If you are looking for even more holiday time saving tips, check out Bank of America Solutions!

  1. I’ll be first since I just saw this on FB.
I save time by making sure I get enough sleep. This gives me the energy to do what needs to be done. Thanks for the contest.

  2. It takes forever to wrap presents, so I hire a neighbor’s daughter to wrap them for me. Saves me tons of time and gives her a little more spending money for the holidays!

  3. During the weekends, I try to make some large meals and than use the leftovers for meals during the hectic holiday week.
    Thanks so much.

  5. I don’t think I can ever “get back time”, but I do make it a point to end my busy days with a hot, scented bath…it gives me the illusion of having all the time in the world. 🙂 Thank you.

  6. I get back time by doing all of my holiday shopping through the Amazon.com websight. This saves time that otherwise would be devoted to driving back and forth between stores.

    Hope to win!

  7. I save time by multitasking as much as I can with everything.
I also make sure I get plenty of rest at night so I have
the energy to keep me focused which saves time in the long run.

  8. I do all my shopping online – it saves me a ton of time. I also don’t overdo. I’m not Martha Stewart, and no one expects me to be. I take help from the store whenever possible for party food – olives, cheeses and meats from the deli section, crudite from the produce section.

  9. I get time back by making a schedule and trying to it during the holidays, planning ahead for meals, making lists for shopping – its definately less frantic and I feel like I have time for everything, even some down time. I went off schedule this past week and now I am feeling so behind.

  10. Getting back time isn’t so easy. But I’m also not to worried about my timing… I’m a stay at home mom and have 6 hours a day to myself 5 days a week. But in that time I clean house, bake, cook, volunteer my time, and of course entering wonderful giveaways! But I think I save a lot of time by preparing dinner early so all I have to do is cook when my husband gets home from work.

  11. Knowing that I will be extra busy during the holiday season, I make several meals ahead of time and then on busy shopping.activity days I just have to heat them up. It saves me lots of time.

  13. ive learned to ask for help when it all seems to be too much things get done faster with more hands and leaves me some time to relax

  14. I have invested in an iRobot Roomba to do the vacuuming so I can do other things around the house during the holidays.

  15. I try to combine as much as possible, I like to make double duty meals, so then there are 2 meals completed, one is eaten that night and the other is either frozen or dinner the next night, it saves me from cooking everyday, I also regularly write down the items we are out of on a list on the fridge, and when I get ready to head to grocery shop I make a once around the kitchen/cupboards/pantry adding to the list so I dont forget anything & then have to make an extra trip back, I usually plan my meals ahead too so I know the items I will be needing for them.

    thanks for the giveaway

  16. It is another part of giving and whatever you give of yourself, you get back a hundred fold. Sure, your time seems to vanish during this holiday time, but what would you be doing instead? It’s good that you’re up off of the couch and doing things that make you and others happy. Don’t worry about getting the time back because it’s time well spent!

  17. I have done most of my shopping online. Good deals, free shipping and do not have to fight the panic at the stores, saves time! 🙂

  18. I do most shopping and all banking online to save time during the busy holiday season!
    tcarolinep at gmail dot com

  19. My fav way to get time back during the holiday season is to shop all year round. By the time December rolls around I am virtually done shopping and I saved tons of money!

  20. I make sure that I schedule but don’t over schedule my time during the holidays. Doing so, allows me to spend more time with my family and not be stressed out – which is most important!

  21. I am a list maker and every weekend, I make a list of errands that I need to run outside of the normal grocery shopping (which is another list). I plan my route to make the best use of gas and time. If I find I need to do something else, I save it for the next weekend trip.

It’s an offer they really welcome and it’s great time with them!

  28. I get as much done of my shopping before December ever comes. That way I can enjoy all the other wonderful things in this month!

  29. We’re not folks who buy our tree early (saves money to wait), so before we put the tree up we give the house one really good cleaning and then forget about the chores until we take the tree down. Except for the bathroom of course!

  30. There is no way to get back time that has been spent, but to save time I keep a list throughout the year of gift ideas (this way I don’t have to scramble for a birthday gift either). I check prices online so I don’t run all over the place, and I use smart playlists on iTunes to quickly have holiday tunes.

  31. I get back time during the holidays by focusing on more meaningful activities and planning all my shopping trips! 🙂

  32. I buy all gift wrapping, cards, tags, ribbon, etc. in mid-November when the selection is best and crowds are less. I buy all presents by the end of November for the same reasons. 😉

  33. I take back time by keeeping things simple. I only buy a few gifts, and shop online when possible. I send my Christmas cards early, shortly after Thanksgiving.

  34. I get back time during the holiday season by avoiding the malls and doing all of my shopping online!

    b(dot)cardone(at)hotmail(dot)com

  35. I have to tell you I made a decision this month NOT to enter blogger contests if there are more than 5 “additional” means of entry. Some websites want you to enter 20 different ways (in order to compete with others who enter the contest), and that takes a LOT of time. By not participating in these contests, I have recovered a good chunk of on-line time. And I want to thank you for limiting your additional entries to only 5.

  36. I get time back by shopping online and saving time and no hassel with long lines and drive time.

    ljsin2win-at-gmail-dot-com

  47. I am a total multi-tasker. You have to be when you are a single dad. It has been hard and somewhat restrictive, but totally worth it. You also need to schedule time for play otherwise we all go insane.

  54. I’ve been purposefully spending quiet time with my two year old, discussing the season!

Also, research and shopping online 🙂

  55. The internet in general saves me tons of time, energy and money. I live in the country and it takes an hour to get anywhere, so the ability to take care of things online (shopping, banking, bills, etc) is a huge help, especially during the holidays!

    Thanks!

  56. I order presents online then pick them up from their local stores. No delivery fees and I don’t have to wait in lines or search the store!

  57. Several years ago our family decided to stop using gift wrap. We use sturdy, pretty boxes and fabric wraps. What we give this year will be recycled and used to package gifts next year (returned to us or someone else). In the long run, this is much less expensive and the “wrapping” takes maybe 25% of the time as using paper. Also good for the environment. mcgillrmcgill(at)charter(dot)net

  64. I know it’s been said but shop online. You don’t have to wait in those long lines and deal with the harrassed people in those lines. I also pick up around the house after the girls go to bed. I may be tired the next morning but atleast I’m getting something accomplished. thank you!

  65. Well my saving time all year and especially during the holiday season is having most of my groceries delivered to my house.

  83. Well this year I didn’t do this because we didn’t do gifts due to the economy but normally I start the day after Christmas and shop bargains all year long. This way there aren’t any long days of trolling the malls and stores with all the other hordes of holiday shoppers. Saves lots of time!

  84. The best and easiest way I get back time is to shop and bank online. No driving to the store or bank, no waiting in lines, no driving through traffic to get home. I can do it all in much less time and save gas money, too! Thanks!

  85. If ordering online, I have items wrapped and shipped (saving me time times two). If I bring presents in the house, I wrap, tag, and bow them right away so they don’t pile up all for the last minute.

  86. Do not accept every party invitation. I am following, liking, friending, joining, flicking and subscribing. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
