Instilling healthy habits from the beginning has always been important to my husband and I. While leading by example is the best way to go, I admit that I am not perfect. When I am on the go, I tend to grab a quick soda (or sweet tea!) but with my recent adventures in weight loss, I have been trying to reach for water instead. Because my daughters are very active, I want them to learn to reach for water to rehydrate after a long dance rehearsal or outdoor fun.
The main reason I will grab a soda is because it’s convenient, but if I could make grabbing some water just as simple, I would be hooked. I recently learned about Brita’s water bottles for on-the-go drinking and I am pleased that they have added kids bottles, too! Did you know that 85% of school aged children don’t get the recommended amount of water? I am hoping to make sure my kids are not in that number!
The new Brita® Bottle is specifically designed for kids to get them excited about drinking more water. The filter lets them get involved in making their own great tasting water and the three fun patterns and 13 oz. squeezable format of the bottle are perfect for little hands. The filter in the bottle should be replaced every 2 months or 40 gallons, however one Brita Bottle for Kids filter can replace up to 300 plastic bottles of water saving over $25 a month! What a great way to teach your child about being green!
Right now through September 28th, if you purchase a Brita® Bottle for Kids (which can be found at Bed Bath and Beyond, KMart or Meijer) you will receive a free children’s book from Scholastic! Just follow the simple rules below:
I am definitely going to give the Brita Bottles for Kids a try. With the start of the dance season upon us, I couldn’t think of a better time! Bottoms up!
