Blick Art Materials “Art Room Aid” Promotes Art Education

As a child, my home was always filled with beautiful pieces of art.  My Mom is an artist…a spectacular one at that.  I am always amazed at what she creates with oil paints and canvas.  Unfortunately, I didn’t inherit any of her natural talent.  Even though I wasn’t the best at drawing or painting, it didn’t stop my Mom from teaching me the importance of developing your creativity and imagination.
Now that my brother and I are grown, my Mom has continued teaching kids (and adults, too) how to paint.  She is currently teaching art classes for birthday parties, Moms Night Out and walk-in sessions for kids.  My own children have loved attending the kids walk-in sessions on the weekends and I have been amazed at home much they have progressed in past several years.
Because my Mom instilled in me a love of the Arts, I try to support charitable initiatives whenever I can.  Blick Art Materials has created a great new way to support the Arts with “Art Room Aid“.  From the website:

Art Room Aid was created in 2009 by Blick Art Materials.  Today, we’re continuing to nurture that deeply rooted investment in the arts and in educational communities with Art Room Aid. As the world becomes increasingly linked, skills like visual communication and creative problem-solving are more important than ever.

If you’re an art educator, Art Room Aid provides the tools to easily share your dreams and funding needs without complicated applications or fees that take away from contributions. If you’re an arts advocate you can quickly locate a project that resonates with you and make a high-quality contribution that will go directly to a project in need.

Together with my Mom, we created a project with Art Room Aid called “Inspire Creativity!”  To make art classes affordable for all, getting donations of art supplies is imperative to keeping the program running.  After creating a free account and setting up her profile, my Mom was able to add the needed art supplies to her wishlist.  Now, donors willing to support her project can easily donate money to help her achieve her goals.  I even found a handy printable flier you can create to advertise your effort to family and friends.

After the donation period has ended, the project manager will receive a credit to Blick Art Materials to purchase items on their wishlist.  My Mom could not be more excited about this new way to get support for her ideas and initiatives and the children at the art studio will definitely benefit!

If you would like to support my Mom’s art project, feel free to visit Inspire Creativity on Blick Art Materials Art Room Aid!

This post is the opinion of the Experimental Mommy.  While I was compensated for my time and effort via The Motherhood, all opinions remain 100% mine.
