Fashion Highlights For Fall

Believe it or not, Fall is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to give some thought to a seasonal shift in your wardrobe! Of course, you have plenty of time left to do your shopping, but it’s never too early to get a glimpse at some of the upcoming trends. Here are a few specific style and accessory trends for the fall as identified by Glamour and Vogue!

1. Caps & Beanies

Glamour identifies caps and beanies as the cute hat options for the Fall season, specifically noting Kate Spade and Tracy Reese as designers carrying attractive options. This trend is all about mixing cute with comfort – a fuzzy looking pink beanie or a black knit cap with a “puff” ball on top are a few great options!

2. Emerald Clothing

If you stay in touch with popular fashion, you’ve probably spent the last several months hearing about spring and summer neons. Fall is a time to tone down your color a bit, but that doesn’t mean it has to go away! Emerald in particular is all over the runways, and gives you a fun and versatile dark color option.

3. Eye-Catching Jewelry

Vogue cited a number of different fashion shows sporting large, gaudy, eye-catching jewelry (including a Dolce & Gabbana show that featured a crown!), and this gives you a lot of options. From grunge bracelets at Saint Laurent, to ornate diamond drop earrings from 77 Diamonds, there are statement options all over the place – just don’t be afraid to stand out this Fall.

4. Winter White

While emerald gives you a colorful trend to consider, “winter white” is another way to steer clear of a wardrobe full of only dark shades. Going all white all the time can be a bit much, but a stark white coat, or even some white denim, can be a great compliment to your seasonal wardrobe.

5. Military Looks

This is one spring and summer trend that seems to be enduring into the fall/winter season. Really, the military trend for the summer was geared largely toward men (and tied in somewhat to the “safari” look), but for cool weather attire it’s easier for women to enjoy this trend. Dull green and brown colors, slim pants, dark boots and gloves, and military outerwear can comprise an interesting and stylish look this Fall.
