  20. I’d take a stand for more eco-friendly baby products. I do, in fact, take a stand for them on a daily basis! We mostly use cloth diapers, and we make our own baby food.

  197. I want to take a stand for quality family time without the television! Let’ s turn off the tv and read books to the kiddos for 20 minutes a day. They love it and it makes them smarter. Can I take two stands? I also want to take a stand for daily scheduled nap time. Studies show that children with regular daily nap times tend to be healthier and have less chance of becoming obese as an adult. So hooray for reading bedtime stories! 🙂

  212. We take a stand against pricey diapers and their ever-shrinking quantities in the same price bracket! First 72, then 68, then 64… I think they’re down to 60 or less now for $19.99? Not Luvs – they’re great in value – we love Luvs!!

  223. I’d take a stand for the fact that regular people, with regular lives deserve affordable health care. Not necessarily free health care – although we pay taxes for a reason and basic health care in 2009 in a 1st world nation is not an outrageous request.
    It’s my position that a hardworking peon in a fast food job (for example) is entitled to basic preventative health care, access to a walk in clinic to set a broken bone or prescribe antibiotic for an infection that’s not going anywhere, a regular family dr to keep track of a his or her health … so on and so on.
    I don’t think we all need to have head to toe transplants, cosmetic surgery, marriage counseling, and etc covered by our insurance company.
    Nor do I think that someone should be expected, and perhaps threatened with fines, if they don’t agree to pay 50% of their wages to an insurance company to pay for some illness or injury that may or may not occur. Especially since, when this event does occur, the insurance co will fight tooth an nail to deny paying anything, will dump you asap if you are terminally ill, and will make you pay for the majority of your treatment as copays and deductibles anyways.
    This entire thing is so crooked and disgusting.
    I would never wear my fingers out on a blog entry to this point, but you asked. :-/

I know bringing two babies into this world will make an impact, but we are committed to cloth diapering and only occasionally using disposables for daycare and travel, etc. and buying used, re-purposing and reselling/donating the things we are done with.
