I cannot even begin to imagine what it must have been like for the poor people of Haiti last week, and how difficult it is for them now as they try to make sense of the devastation. Whenever I hear of anyone going through something terrible, it is in my nature to try to do something to help as best I can. Missiko.com let us know this week that Steven Vondouris, the CEO of Hana Salon, has generously offered a $25 blank check to each person who purchases a Hana appliance between 1/20 and 2/10. Along with the check, Hana will include a stamped envelope and it is their hope that Hana customers will then send the $25 to their favorite Haitian relief effort. You may opt to send the check to another charity of your choice as well. It’s all about giving back in some small way.
There are a wide range of Hana products available from Missiko.com, and they are all top-notch in quality and reasonable in price. If you were thinking of a Hana appliance purchase, what’s a better time than now to get it?
In the days, weeks, and months to come, try to stop for a moment and be thankful for what we all have. When I think of the suffering in Haiti at the moment, it seems silly to complain about having to fold laundry or load the dishwasher…again. Sometimes it takes an event like this to open our eyes to what’s really important. For those of us in a position to help, please do what you can. Thanks!
