Last week, I had to run to the grocery store for a few staple items. It was a quick trip and I was in a hurry, so I threw on some sweatpants and an old tshirt and I was out the door. While running threw the aisles looking for granola bars, it actually did cross my mind that I looked so bad that I could certainly be singled out by the stars of TLC’s “What Not to Wear!” Don’t you just love that show?

I spend most of my life in t-shirts and jeans. I’m embarrassed to admit I really don’t own many nice clothes.
I wore a black bra under a cream colored sweater out to dinner with my husband because it was the only bra I had clean. topgun34er(at)hotmail(dot)com
My whole wardrobe. All my blouses have big flowers on them.
My worst fashion faux pas is wearing clothes that are too big because they are comfy.
pica_princess_88@yahoo.com
my husband would say these peasant pants I bought in Kusadasi, Turkey while on holiday. I love them – he hates them! Very baggy, low crotch, hand made. In my defense I only wear them inside the house.
tvollowitz at aol dot com
Leggings done wrong!
I wear sweatpants in a non-gym environment.
Sometimes I wear bizarre color combinations because nothing else is clean.
a broken fingernail! that is a big no no!
Once I went to a party where my husband’s old girlfriend was there and she was a platinum blond so I wore a platinum blond wig, I still cringe when I think of it!
My worst fashion faux pas is occasionally wearing pants that are too short. I am tall and have a hard time finding pants long enough. Sometimes they start out as long enough, but shrink in the dryer. There are days that I just need clean, ironed pants to wear to work, and only the floods are left in the closet!
Not dressing in the current styles…I’m not really a fashion buff and just buy what works on me.
Thanks
rickpeggysmith(at)aol(dot)com
I live by the mom dress code most of the time – jeans, tees, and sweats. It’s pretty sad.

Honestly, I am pretty vain and don’t leave the house without a decent outfit and hair/makeup all done. That said, I know some of my clothes could use some tailoring, as some things I buy in a size up so they’ll fit over the “girls.” LOL.
My worst is wearing sweat pants alot, just because they are comfortable!
My worst is wearing sweatpants and t shirts with stains and holes
I wear bras with strapless dresses sometimes, and that may be one of my many.
I also wear my husbands clothes because they are comfy and big.Maybe the worst one I have is I am still wearing clothes that I bought 10 years ago!! Honestly I have a few pairs of Jeans from the 90’s that I still wear.
HA!!!
I love Macy’s! Shopping at Macy’s is like therapy for me
jacksoncrisman@yahoo.com
I would have to say it’s wearing dark colored bras and panties with white pants or white shirts and you can see right through. It doesn’t even occur to me until after someone says something lol
kport207 at gmail dot com
I just got back from Date #2 and realised that I was wearing the same outfit I’d worn on Date #1 … Which wouldn’t have been so bad, maybe, except that I realised, half-way into Date #2, that the inside sleeve had a small stain acquired during Date #1. He was a gentleman not to say anything, but I’m almost certain he saw it and remembered. Woe.
My favorite shirts are unraveling around the collar and I’m wearing them anyway.
lazybones344 at gmail dot com
I don’t have any, but I do think a common one is people wearing clothes that are too small for them.
I think my worst thing is sometimes wearing patterned socks that don’t really match my outfit.
mine is wearing sweatshirts and jeans too often
stone washed jeans
mychancetowin at gmail dot com
My worst fashion issue is that I always wear sweatpants, especially the past few months with being pregnant (I hate maternity pants!) and now having just had my 4th baby! I would love to get some style again and start dressing more ‘fashionably!
Thanks!
What I consider my biggest fashion faux pas is I will not wear heels any more, i’m in my 50s now and i am more comfortable in flat comforable shoes.
There are so many of them. Perhaps the biggest one might be The Raiders Of The Lost Ark type hat I wore everywhere for about 2 years until my best friend destroyed it.
Unless I go out for a specifc reason, I usually wear plain shirts. More nicer shirts probally would look much better.
Worst is the baggy shorts
Mine would be highwaters, since Im so tall. lol
shopgurl101 at gmail dot com
My worst is running out to the Sheetz gas station one night in a T-shirt and my PJ bottoms LOL I work at home & I work third shift, I got the munchies & wanted a soda and figured no-one but me would be out and about at 3 a.m. –wrong.
I would have to say my too small shirts. I am one of those in between sizes (medium is too large, small is too small) or all of my shirts have shrunk, I can’t quite figure it out but it looks atrocious. LOL. I need shirts badly.
I hate to buy jeans, so hard to get a good fit, so what I do have are mom jeans.
All of my jeans were low rise before my second baby. After she was born, I had to buy several new pairs, because…well, can you say muffin top? Ugh!
kcoud33 at gmail dot com
Wearing clothes(jeans) that are not the right size for me. I gained weight, so my size went up, and now I’m trying to lose it, and when I drop a few pounds, none of my clothes fit right.
I wear dress slacks with knee boots-they are under the slacks not over but still dress shoes would be better
Well, when it comes to pictures…putting my hair in a tight pony tail so I look like a boy. More commonly? I just don’t dress cute or match things right sometimes haha
I think my biggest is my addiction to jeans (albeit nice jeans) which I wear everywhere even to nicer functions!
Pants that are hemmed to short. That are not suppose to be short.
I’d say pattern socks even they’re hidden under jeans or inside boots.
tcarolinep at gmail dot com
I think it’s that I wear sneakers EVERYWHERE — and altho I think there are a pair or two of shoes in my closet, I haven’t seen them in a LOOOOONG Time.

nannypanpan at sbcglobal.net
I wear jeans and a tshirt. Usually a NASCAR one since I have about 5 of them. I have only 3 pants outfits that I’ve had for years. I really want to lose weight so I haven’t bought anything for myself.
Elastic waist pants….I have acid reflux and can’t wear anything tight at the waist.

I have a pair of pants that have elastic in the back…how embarassing
When I was pregnant with my first child in 1991, I wore my husbands 2X and 3X shirts to work.. I’m a very petite person. I must have looked horrible.

I had a couple, I had a pair of turqoise pants, yuck, I don’t know what I was thinking. And, I had a pair of high heeled shoes that had fake fur lining them.
twoofakind12@yahoo.com
I guess it would be sweats and tees. I’m a stay at home mom so I don’t get dressed up much.
My is my closet full of sweats that my children hate.
It had to be leggings and long sweaters(but not long enough).
I wear too many hoodies and sweat outfits
My faux pas is dressing in a uniform – capris and tee in the summer and jeans with a turtle and jacket in the winter. I’ve been ignoring fashion for a long time and it shows.
ooo- easy- that would have to be the uniforms we wear to work- no way to pretty them up! LOL
I live in sweatpants and t shirts/sweatshirts.

vlbelk(at)Hotmail.com
My worst is that I work from home so on most days you will find me sporting pj’s or a leisure suit
Rolling of the Jeans! So 80s!!!
I have no fashion faux pas. No, really! And it is not because I am perfect, but because I listen to my own needs and wants and wear what I like. If someone else doesn’t like my style, I am never offended, because we are all different and have unique tastes. But I will say that, in the past, the teased 80’s hair might have been a poor choice on my part 🙂
Sweats old T-shirts that are way too big.
Back in the day, I wore ALL my collars up! Unfortunately there are pictures for proof!

I tend to trim my own hair w/ scissors over my sink and split my ends!
I probably have 12 pairs of the same black stretch pants that I have probably worn for the last eight years along with a T-shirt or sweatshirt with the logo of the university that I attended. Plus, I always wear tennis shoes.

Now that I’m over 60, I think I might be dressing too young, but don’t know for sure…..
My worst fashion faux pas was when I was younger and gained a lot of weight, not dressing like I was aware I had actually gained the weight.
b(dot)cardone(at)hotmail(dot)com
Mine would be the parachute pants!
I think i know what faux paux means, so I will say the jeggings. Not everyone looks good in spandex or leggings. SOrry ladies when i can see what color your under is, thats a no-no.
super_alba_star@yahoo.com
My worst fashion mistake is that I seldom get dressed…um yeah. I am a stay at home mom and nothing fits and I nurse so most clothes are not friendly for this unless they are maternity and I am petite so that doesn’t work. So Often I stay in Jammies all day long unless I am forced to eave the house…yeah, I know. Sexy 🙁

Wearing ugg boots with everything… so pathetic but so comfy and warm in this frigid chicago winter!

jenzen69atyahoodotcom
Mine, according to my children, is that I do not even know what fashion is (actually I do not much care – if I like it & it is comfortable, that is all that matters). I wear my clothes loose and they don’t like that either, but I don’t like tight, never have. If fashion is short, I wear long, actually never wear short. Anyway my fashion drummer beats a different tune than most & I don’t mind.

My worst-dressed nightmare was many years ago…when I was a young mom of 3 going to a concert (Chicago) and thought I was “young” enough to wear PARACHUTE pants. Black. With some really scanty red shirt and black boots. Looked like a train wreck! LOL!
According to my daughter, it is dressing for comfort rather than style.
I’m afraid to say I have so many…. mostly just old clothes that don’t quite fit right. Or pants that don’t fit right. Those are the worst!

When I arrived home, the brown shoes I had wanted to wear were in the trunk.
