  1. Honestly, I think this was the most wonderful summer that we’ve had. We went to South Carolina for the first time for a few weeks. My Dad moved there a number of months ago and the whole family went for two weeks, then my kids and I stayed on for a couple more weeks. We returned in time to go on another small vacation to the Jersey Shore. My oldest son started dating for the first time and since he’s only 14, I’ve been driving them to “dates” along with my youngest son. I don’t think I’ve ever been so busy, we’ve seen a few movies, been bowling, been playing minature golf, have gone to local baseball games and gone swimming every nice day. It’s really been a wonderful summer and I’m sorry to see the kids head back to school.
    Thanks so much.

  3. This summer was pretty awesome! My daughter was a toddler this year so we got to do a lot more than we did last year. I really enjoyed taking her to carnivals and the beach. We had a ton of fun this summer and I bet next year will be even better.

  4. *Sigh* can we just start over? This summer was… far from the best, but it was also not the worst, so I guess all was not bad

  5. This was a pretty tame summer- I did hospital/Mexico trip/hospital so most of the rest of our plans flew out the window and we stayed local. Hopefully when we go to Hawaii I will be feeling better.

  6. We had a good summer. We went to Clearwater Beach Florida for 4 days then headed to visit with family on the East Coast. We enjoyed such things as beaches, amusement parks and museums with our kids.

  7. We haven’t had our adventure yet, but we are getting ready to do up to Door County for a weekend very soon!

  8. We had one of our worst summers ever. I broke my ankle at our local fireworks display so we got to spend the summer at home. My girls got to spend it taking care of me and not out doing lots of fun things like I had planned. We did take my daughter and her friends to the amusement park for her birthday. They all had a blast so that’s one bright spot for the summer. Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. This was a great summer althought my husband got laid off for a month- it actually gave us alot of time- to take the kids to the beach and parks and the pools- we had a blast

  10. I wouldn’t say we had the best summer ever but the girls and I had lots of fun shopping at farmer’s markets and cooking up a storm! We even planted our own veggie garden!

  11. We have a had a great summer, so far we spent a 3 night weekend at the lake. Fishing, swimming and site seeing and camping. Did so much stuff its hard to remeber it all. And later this month we are going to Holiday world the kids are excited

  12. yes. This has been the best summer ever. My first child just turned 1 and he is a blast. This summer has been packed with things for me and my little family to do. This is the first summer where I have had fun things going on every weekend. Gotta show off my little dude of course. 🙂

  13. The hubby’s hours got cut because of cutbacks and I’m a teacher so I don’t get paid in the summer, so all our “adventure” plans got put on hold. We are trying to have fun around the house (hard to do) and have taken a few trips to my parents house on the lake in Conn. The kids just love that, so it hasn’t been too bad. Hopefully next year we can do more.

  14. One of the most important things that will ever happen to me happened this summer; I got to meet and spend time with my first grandson! He’s a happy, loving baby and I love him *this much!*

  15. Our adventures have taken us to library summer reading events where my son has held a legless lizard. We have also traveled around the world with the Passport to fun program at Michaels. Parks, cherry picking, and other fun day trips were all done while trying to stay cool. Thanks for the fun.

  16. I spent time with my sister, who lives 800 miles away-we had the best time!

  17. We had a very relaxing summer with a 8 day trip to Idaho to go camping on the lake and get married 🙂

  18. I’m not sure I’d call this the best summer ever (we had a few family crises and didn’t get to take much time of work as a result), but all in all it’s been pretty good. We managed to squeeze in a few family road trips to Michigan and Lake Erie, and we had a lot of fun with family and friends staying close to home, swimming, biking, and camping. Thanks!

  19. Not much vacationing this year. I have a daughter starting her Senior year of high school and a son starting his 4th year of medical school. Next summer, when each of them graduate, we will have a huge family reunion. My son is going to school in Galveston, Texas, so I’m planning on having the wing ding on the beach.

  20. I haven’t had the best summer ever yet. I’m waiting to find miss right first then we’ll make it the best summer

  21. Not ever but definitely a top 10 🙂 I was off from work for 7 weeks (medical leave, but woohoo no work!!), we went to the beach for a week, and I’ve lost over 50# since summer started, so yeah it’s been pretty good 🙂

  22. Probably not the best summer ever since our plans had to drastically change due to some medical issues for my daughter, but we had a pretty great summer. A few day trips to the river and springs, 2 weekend camping trips and lots of laid back, fun days in the sun playing games and just hanging out. Still managed to have wonderful and fun times with my kids (and I am so sad they are off to school again!).

  23. One of my best summers was last year when I was able to spend time with my grandson. This summer has pretty much been uneventful so far…

  24. This summer was one of our families best summers ever usually hubby and I are working and kids go to camps and grandparents for summer but this year we were able to take some time off and we all went to Carowinds for some family fun it was a great time and one we will always remember .

  25. I had a really great summer 🙂 We went to the finger lakes twice and to the poconos a couple of times and we’re heading to yellowstone next week.

  26. We had a great summer! Just another “lazy” on on the farm. We spent our days picking veggies and fruit, taking walks, playing outside and running through the sprinkler. It was great.

  27. We had a great summer because we just stayed home this year. We enjoyed time together swimming in our pool, as well as get togethers with our friends!

  28. Enjoyed the summer with our daughter home from college. We drove 7 hours up north to Navarre FL to visit our daughter and her husband with 3 of our grandkids and spent some time with them. And, living in Lakeland FL, we are just 55 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico so we try to have a beach day once a week.

  29. My summer has been swimming and cook outs this year. Like on FB and thanks for the great sweep. Hope to win 🙂

  30. I took my grandkids to the zoo, the aquarium, and the academy of sciences. We took hikes in the woods and collected bird feathers. It was a lot of fun, but now they’r back in in school….. Oh well, there’s always next smmer.

  31. Since I don’t work and don’t have kids at home, my summers are no different than the rest of the year. I take my daily two mile walks, play on the computer, read books, go out to eat, watch TV and play with the dogs. What else do I need to do?

  32. Best summer ever was when the oldest learned to swim.. it took a lot of courage to get his feet wet. Now we can’t get him out of the water, now he is helping with teaching the younger kiddo’s swim.

  33. I haven’t had the best summer ever, but I have had a lot of good things happen. Usually my sisters were in town, but this past March they moved. They came home for about a week which was fantastic. My husband and I have been struggling financially, so the real emotional breaks I got this summer was when my brother and sisters came to visit.

  34. I had a great summer! we went to concerts, fairs, fireworks, camping, had family cookouts, bike rides and soon going to an Amusement park

  35. My family had a great summer. We went to New York and we went to the beach. It was fun to be together and spent time together

  36. We had a great summer this year. All 5 kids were here and we enjoyed swimming, bouncing in the bounce house,Chucky Cheese, parties, family get-togethers,movies,playing outdoors, playing at the park and more.

  37. We had the best summer yet because my daughter moved close to me and now I can spend time with my grandkids and we have spent a lot of the summer in the pool.

  39. We visited the mountains and went camping. We had the best time floating the little creek on tubes and just enjoying some campfire family time.

  40. we went to fun fore al in pittsburgh on our trip to michigan to visit the grandparents. it was a blast, literally.

  41. This was an average summer for us. We took day trips when it wasn’t so blasted hot outside! Most of the time was spent going to the local pool to try and keep cool. Now that the weather is cooler, we will be able to engage in more outdoor activities. And we have a large family picnic coming up that everyone is looking forward to. Thanks.

  42. We just had a basic summer at home. I watched the grandkids ride their bikes across the street on the bike trail. My son-in-law made some wonderful BBQ’s. I had the best summer just being with my family.

  43. My summer was filled with FUN!!! and ADVENTURE!!! with three growing grand-daughters in their teens life is an adventure. My youngest son got married and is moving to Fl from NM. The wedding was GREAT!!! and having a new daughter-in-law is AWESOME!!!

  44. We don’t have adventures until the heat and tourists are gone! 🙂 We like going to Disney World and Universal.

  45. This summer has been terrible – either it was too too too hot or way too rainy !!! Weather did not cooperate at all for any of our usual day trips / hikes or camping !!!

  46. There hasn’t been one “Best Summer Ever” but we have had some great moments: Jumping into waves in Maine; “painting” pictures on the sidewalk with water; keeping a balloon off the ground.

You can’t force the moments you remember. You can only enjoy them as they happen!

  47. The best part of our summer was our weekend away for the 4th. We rented a cabin in my favorite town in Maine, on a lake. Kids swam all day, we went fishing & looking for moose. The town had a huge celebration with a parade & childrens games. Fireworks at night. My last baby’s first 4th & it was amazing!

  48. This summer was really bittersweet because it was our son’s last summer at home before starting college – 5 hours from home! No big adventures, but lots of time spent together.

  49. This has been kinda dull summer. We did only stay-cations. We enjoyed the pool and having ice cream treats after swimming to refuel everyone. 🙂

  50. This summer my hubby got to take a one month sabbatical! It was fantastic! We went away for a week without the kids, we also did lots of day trips around our area with the kids.

  51. This summer was okay, we are going to wrap it up with a visit to two theme parks though. One tomorrow and one next week.

  52. This was a pretty good summer! The kids went to some camps to keep them busy, and we ended the summer by going to Daytona Beach for a week! That was fun!

  54. I think the best summer ever is yet to come, but we’ve had some good adventures, the kind that sound mundane to adults but light up a child’s eyes! (Making a new friend, splashing our feet in a pool, sitting inside a helicopter…)

  55. We’ve had a great summer. We took several small road trips and as the grand finale we spent last week at the beach. It was my 4 year old’s first time seeing the ocean and she LOVED it. Thanks for the chance to win!
