Scents can certainly conjure up very specific memories of days gone by. Even though I detest the flavor of coffee, it’s smell is one of my favorites because it always reminds me of my Mom. The floral scent of my Grandmother’s perfume bring me back to the days of my childhood while the smell baby powder reminds me of the day I became a Mom.
But no scents are more powerful in bringing back memories that those of the holidays. Growing up, the holiday season was one of togetherness and celebration filled with laughter, parties and FOOD. From sugar cookies to cider, the kitchen was always a flurry of activity filling the home with the most wonderful smells.
Recently, I was sent a box of Febreze Holiday products to help set the mood for the upcoming season. Febreze is no stranger in my house as we use several products on a regular basis. With a guinea pig in my daughter’s room, I love that Febreze actually eliminates odors instead of just covering them up.
I’ve always had my eye on the Febreze NOTICEables Warmer so I was happy to receive the Cranberry Cider refill pack which includes both Apple Cider and Cranberry Frost. After plugging into the wall, my home was filled with the smells of the holidays. I love that the warmer alternates scents and that you can adjust the intensity.
For more portable freshness, check out the Febreze Set & Refresh. I placed this in our guest bathroom to keep the holiday smell flowing throughout the home. The design of the Set & Refresh is very neutral so it is unobtrusive and matches any decor. The cute pop-up storybook I received has convinced me that I must try the Glistening Pine and Winter Frost scents, next!
