Believe it or not, school days have begun for both of my daughters. It was a crazy fun summer, but it’s time to buckle down, get organized and put our game faces on. And I don’t just mean the kids. While I do love the lazy days of summer, my family thrives on routine so I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. But the only way we will survive this Back-to-School season is to plan ahead and be prepared (some might say that I am list-obsessed).
For the last few weeks, I have purchased the school supplies, monogrammed the backpacks and wiped out the lunch kits. I have labelled every crayon, ironed every shirt and met every teacher. But one simple task can ruin even the most planned morning….the packing of the lunchbox. I will admit that I have tried to pack inspired lunches with cute shapes, new recipes and handwritten notes but ultimately my kids will ask for their favorite, traditional peanut butter and jelly every time. And you know what? That is just fine with me.
Should the peanut butter go on the right slice or the left?
Some would argue that it doesn’t matter, but my kids would call them wrong. Absolutely wrong. Let me walk you through the very important steps of making the best traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwich (according to my kids).
2. Lightly toast the bread of your choice. This allows for easier spreading.
4. Spread peanut butter on the right slice and jelly on the left.
Which side are you on? Do you put the peanut butter on the right or left? No matter what side you’re on, we can all agree they are definitely better together! Tell us your preference in the comments below!
Right!
Ha! I must be the crazy lady, because I put peanut butter on both sides and then top with jelly.
I would 100% agree, PERFECT combo!!
