This isn’t just any ordinary Friday night. It’s a dance party night! Time to break out the music, the spandex, the platform shoes and the feathery boas…..it’s ABBA time! Thanks to Clever Girls Collective and Ubisoft, we had the opportunity to try the new ABBA You Can Dance game for Wii so we decided to have some friends over to join in the fun.
About the game:
“From the creators of the award-winning Just Dance® franchise comes ABBA You Can Dance. Featuring 26 timeless songs, including “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” “Fernando,” “Waterloo,” and “Take A Chance On Me,” ABBA You Can Dance invites you to unleash your inner dancing queen and hit the dance floor with one of world’s biggest music sensations. Dance with up to four players or join in on vocals; ABBA You Can Dance is unforgettable fun for friends and family of every generation.”
With the aid of a LED disco ball (oh yeah!), we were ready to get our dance party on! Once you insert the game, you are faced with a huge selection of songs from which to choose. Some of the dances are for a single player, two players or even a dance party with four total players. The dances include both male and female dancers so everyone can participate.
Once we began, I knew this would be no ordinary Wii game. The dancers were sparkly! The tunes were some ABBA favorites and the dances were quite spectacular. While some dances are easier than others, they are all fun! My husband and I decided to try “The Marionette” and as you can see, I could not even finish because I was doubled over in laughter. Now before you watch the video, let me preface it by saying that my husband is an extremely good sport and I love him to death, but he is no dancer. Enjoy.
We also had a few kids over to complete our ultimate dance party and they loved it, too. Truly timeless fun! For them, we selected a slower routine and they were able to follow along with no problems (they are both 7 years old). The two three year old kids just had fun running around in circles and listening to the catchy tunes.
Not into dancing? The ABBA You Can Dance game for Wii also includes karaoke! We definitely recommend purchasing this game for your next party. In fact, I found ABBA You Can Dance on Amazon for just $29.96! Seriously, endless laughs!
Dance on, you party animals!

Awww, your hubby gets an A for effort (and for making me laugh!)
That sounds really fun! I love Abba’s music and dance games on the Wii 🙂
